Usually when aligning contents and shapes on slides, this is done in relation to the complete slide. However, usually your company master defines an area in which content should be placed. 

We give you the opportunity to set the working area as template canvas which is then used as reference when aligning shapes.

You can define as much template areas as you like - so you can also switch between different masters (e.g. when working for different clients)
